Dr. Jess Belyeu, DMD
Dr. Jesse Belyeu is a native of Camilla Georgia attending Westwood schools from third grade until graduation. He then moved to Macon Georgia getting a B.S. in Computer Science. After graduation he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and attended the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University (formerly known as the Medical College of Georgia) receiving his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2015.
After graduation he decided to expand his dental education and skill set with a two-year General Practice Residency also at The Dental College of Georgia. During his residency, Dr. Belyeu’s training focused on dental implants, third molar extractions (wisdom teeth), IV Sedation, and treatment of the medically complex patient. During his second year he served as a chief resident which was an opening to the passion of teaching. Dr. Belyeu spends his free time returning to the residency program teaching current residents and trying to support the program that gave him so much. He also occasionally lectures at different dental conferences. Dr. Belyeu also tries to take at least one trip a year to other parts of the world for dental missions work.
Dr. Belyeu’s favorite service to offer patients is IV sedation. Patients come in every day that have avoided the dentist for decades due to fear. He feels there is nothing more rewarding than being able to comfortably treat a patient that is terrified of coming to the dentist. Dr. Belyeu also enjoys implementing all the newer technologies into dentistry including three dimensional radiographs and digital scanning.
Dr. Belyeu was blessed to have married the love of his life (Dr. Lyons) in June of 2018. Together they like to spend their time hiking, camping, and anything to do with their furbabies.
To relax Dr. Belyeu enjoys hunting and spending time on his family’s Satsuma farm.
